Apples of Gold

Mission Statement

Foundation is built on Titus 2:3-5: “The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.”

The goal is to teach women that they can be transformed by the power of Christ in becoming all that He would have them to be. We know that women can be set free from the bondage of every sin that enslaves them by the engrafted Word of God.  “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

This transformation is not natural – it is supernatural as we submit ourselves to God and live in obedience to His Word. It all depends on our response to the Word. Deeply entrenched sinful habits and dysfunctional relational patterns can be exposed and eradicated; we become a new creature in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17).

It is our mission to teach women from the Word of God the steps necessary for cultivating an intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus. We believe and know that a right relationship with God is the first step in having a right relationship with all others.

We concentrate on what Christianity looks like within the home by addressing the complex issues faced in family relationships. It is in families that we are broken and it is in families that we are healed. We learn to shift our allegiance from old family rules to Christ’s family rules.

Apples of Gold meets one Thursday a month at 7pm. This is a time of fellowship and dinner for women and girls aged 10 and up.
